The gala’s highlight was a captivating performance by the renowned Pakistani TV personality and writer, Mr. Anwar Maqsood, who entertained the audience with his signature blend of humor, satire, and heartfelt tributes to Dr. Adib Rizvi and SIUT’s mission. The event concluded on a high note with fundraising and live auction of Mr. Anwar Maqsood’s painting with the Houston community demonstrating extraordinary generosity, raising over $1 million to support SIUT Pakistan. This outpouring of support affirmed the shared commitment of the diaspora and local community to advancing healthcare and societal progress through impactful partnerships.
