PET/CET diagnostic machines have been installed at the SIUT Mehrunnisa Medical Center in Karachi, Pakistan. PET/CT is an expensive diagnostic tool for cancer patients. There are only 5 machines in Pakistan including the one at SIUT. The test costs Rs 40-60 thousand at other facilities, is offered free of cost by SIUT.
